CHCH, another evening blat? Wed 18th Dec

Christmas is looming but I'm keen for one more Wednesday evening drive and drink (within the bounds of the ever tightening festive policing of course). Thinking maybe a dash round Tai Tapu and through to Governors bay.
We had 4 cars turn out last time with a couple more that didn't quite make it, but it was a nice run up to the hilltop and cracking weather. Fingers crossed for more of the same...
Meet at Halswell on main road by aquatic centre at 6:45, leave at 7. Best of the evening daylight months ahead still...

Keeping an eye on the forecast, but if it stays fine we should have 4, hopefully more.

Tough to make a call for tonight as the forecast is quite changeable. Looking decidely dodgy, but there may just be a dry window between 6-9. I'll review again late afternoon and decide if I want to chance it. Will post again around 5pm.

Hmm...
It might be ok around Chch (maybe), but Darfield forecast isn't great for me getting out or back. Chance of hail - I think I'll reluctantly have to pull the plug. But hey, if anyone else is still game, go for it!
