CHCH, Wednesday evening blat, 15th Jan

Postby X7RACR » Sun Jan 05, 2014 8:46 pm

2014 is upon us and, for those of us that have to return to work having endured decidedly average Christmas weather, the hope of a decent evening with the roof off does not seem like an unreasonable thing to look forward to. So if you aren't just heading off for a couple of weeks in anticipation of a more settled new year climate, why not come along for a blat on Wednesday 15th.
December's run was rained off, so I might re-use that plan and tackle the roads round Tai Tapu and Gebbies pass to Governors Bay. Meet at 6:45 on the main road by the pool in Halswell, leaving at 7. Hope to see you there!

Waiting for parts from the UK at the moment... At least the engine bay is now nice and clean.

Saab concentric clutch slave unit... SHould only be a few days away so yes... One clear weekend and it will be back together... Unfortunately the next 2 weekend are fully of other activities... I should really check to see what track days or motorkhanas are coming up to give myself a target.

On a (slightly) more serious note, I had intended to come along on Wednesday but now find that I have to be in both Greymouth and Westport on Wednesday then call into a job at Lyford, so unless I break all sorts of speed limits, I think I will be spending the night out of town, and certainly not back in time to partake of a run over Gebbies with you all. :(

Looks like the weather will be kind this month; forecast is for a warm if a little breezy evening.
4 confirmed so far. Hope to see a few more of you at Halswell around 6:45-7 if you can make it. See you then!
