I had been thinking that Waitangi Day might be a great chance for a dawn blat up to Arthur's Pass. Can't beat getting out for sunrise and fresh air in the mountains!
However, currently the forecast is for rain... will decide nearer the day and post a plan for anyone who wants to tag along.
