I had a similar situation with the Leitch, was actually playing up for a while, when leaning into a corner or hitting a bump (ripple strip) the car would cut out quickly & refire. Eventually during one event it stopped altogether, by the time it hit the trailer it started again!

These are frustrating issues - turns out mine was one of the terminals in the EFI relay socket had come unlocked and was not in full contact with the spade on the relay. looking from the bottom of the socket it @looked@ fully home.

Its often the simple things!!!

It is great it was something simple - normally is.
The pump coming on, at turn on is a primer pulse, the injectors open as well for a predetermined time. It helps with start up, gets the fuel pressure up so first few seconds aren't lean, like pumping the throttle on a carb'ed engine. Turning ignition on and off too many times while mucking around with other things does flood the engine which is the downside.
