North Canterbury Classic Tour 2014 - 30 March

Postby X7RACR » Wed Dec 04, 2013 9:01 pm

The date has just been confirmed for the 2014 NCCT run. Always a good day out with all kinds of cars and usually a good showing from the 7s and Lotus brigade. Will post more details nearer the time...

This just in from Trevor Stanley...

Our 12th annual North Canterbury Classic tour is to be held on Sunday 30 March 2014. The most important change to note, is the new registration/departure venue. No longer do we start from New Brighton. This year is a new era to this NCCT, with a new start venue, (hopefully permanent) and some other changes too. Last year we travelled north of the Waimak, so this time it’s south.
Please go to Hi-Tech Buildj Collection. Down a long drive with plenty of parking). Look for “Classics ------> “ sign.
All sealed route to three places of interest. Two before lunch, which is of alovely setting. (If a hot day, bring your ‘togs’). More info a couple of weeks before the event.

I may be heading along, just waiting to hear from a couple of friends who may be going as well.

Found a little more info about it here https://www.facebook.com/events/216939205163111/

He's not getting out as much as he previously has, I think the last time he did a decent drive was when we went to Palmerston for Christmas. They've moved into their new house so he'll have more time to fix up the engine now.

Will be there, weather permitting.
Starts from 656 Wairakei Road. (Hi-tech Building Systems, about 100 yards on right before roundabout at John’s Road, if coming from city direction.
From the organisers, "Please endeavour to have the correct entry fee of $15 at registration if you can, but not essential. If there is a large entry number, this will speed-up registration). (Between 9am and 10am). Don’t forget the picnic lunch, although there is a grocer/dairy close-by at the lunch stop, but not a great range."
