Finally found something as a base for my winter project.

The plan is to convert this into a fun weekend car that can hillclimb. The car already has a Motorsport nz certified cage, car is also road legal and fully certified

the engine will be upgraded from a 4age and t50 to a gen2 hayabusa turbo. Engine is already under construction and will include Carrillo rods, turbo pistons, adjustable after market cams, stainless valves and ported head

The car will have race spec Penske adjustable shocks and already has push rod suspension

And a good mate of mine has made me a custom gauge so the the carbon dash doesn't scream bike power

Hate to be a "wet blanket" but MNZ regs used to state that competition cars must have a reverse gear "fitted in the gearbox". Some cars using bike motors had a reverse operated by a starter motor which, whilst enabling the car to go backwards, was not strictly legal.
I relinquished my MNZ Scrutineers Licence a while back (because of silly rules like this amongst other things) so do not know the current situation. May pay you to check.

Thanks for that.

Yeah I totally agree, my race car is also bike powered.

Sch A, article 5 now states A Reverse gear shall be fitted, able to be operated by the Driver when normally seated throughout an Event.

Hi Not-a-number.

I'm not sure at this stage and would want to get it serviced and inspected before I did offer it for sale.

I'm told it got the following, its was used for sccnz clubman champ a few years ago

Extractors,
Oversize throttle body
Flat top pistons
Modified breather
2 ltr injectors
Toyota Atlantic/Pacific Vernier cam sprockets
T50 gear box
Lightened flywheel
