Re: Lotus 7 (genuine) on TM

Not quite true. They will stop you listing a clearly labelled Lotus 7 REPLICA in the Lotus category, but they are ok with a provably non Lotus/Steelbros vehicle being advertised as genuine :-)

Re: Hawkswood sealed sprint 10Nov

I may be sunk by the lack of an SFI suit. I have the SFi underwear, gloves and boots, plus helmet and HANS, but suit may not be good enough and not sure I can find one by Saturday... :-(

I'll call Palmside and Silvester in the morning - any other local suggestions?

98 vs 100 Plus fuel

With a NPD station now in Rolleston that has 100Plus octane - does anyone have any experience on that vs BP98?... My engine was dyno tuned (a few years ago) on 98. Wondering if there's any benefit at all to 100plus given it's the same distance from me and on the way to Ruapuna..

Re: Hawkswood sealed sprint 10Nov

Yeah - I'm watching the weather too... I'll probably go if it's forecast to improve through the day.

Although since I lack a full cage and any sort of side intrusion protection, my aim for the day is to not go too fast :)

Re: Hydro handbrake install...

Installed inline last night and tested today. Works brilliantly. Prepared to replace the Chinese master cylinder if it gives any issues. Bleeding was a pain, even with a vacuum bleeder. I resorted to running a line from the bleed nipples at the rear to the master cyl reservoir at the front and just ...

Re: Tyre pressures - Update, not an open question about what's best :-)

Not sure about hot pressures... For all my best intentions on checking things that totally slipped my mind!!! surface tyre temps are as per the video (although I note now the youtube embed doesn't work reliably here)... Here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24bkUyV1ceM Surface front tyre t...

Re: Hydro handbrake install...

Can you make provisions for seperate Calipers and have an independant system altogether ? This is the only way I have found for a good set up other wise you can get mutable issues , spongey pedal , hydro leaver that moves when pedal is depressed , caliper that doesn’t release from the disc well , t...

Hydro handbrake install...

So so so many conflicting bits of info on the Internet... I have a hydro handbrake that I'd like to put in to my car. I will leave the existing cable parking brake there as well. The brake system is dual circuit, discs front and back. Current: https://i.postimg.cc/yYhKJfMN/hydrobrake-before.jpg And ...
