Re: KiwiBirins ride

Sorry to hear that Steve, although lucky he only caught the guard and didn't wreck the suspension by the looks of it. Sounds like there is a dearth of 7 friendly workshops in Queensland?

Re: Electrical issues Series 4

I had a couple of Alfa Sprints years ago, both with twin Webers. I think the advice I was given is good for both Webers and Dell'Ortos. I was told never to use the choke and simply give it a couple of pumps of the accelerator when cold. This primes the carbs. Not sure if it was the Golden Lodge spar...

Re: Lachlan Findlay's Mcgregor sr7

Yes the wiper blades must have come off a Dinky toy because that is about how much use they are. However they are legal, and given that I rarely use the car if it is going to rain, I will put up with them in the meantime. I found the Rain-X water repellent that we used on our club aircraft Plexiglas...

Re: Lachlan Findlay's Mcgregor sr7

That's amazing Lachlan. Ladybird's does not stay that dry, and seems to get a fine mist inside that wets everything eventually. Mind you we are still nowhere as wet as we would be without the roof up and doors on!

Re: A poll. Remove rear wing or not?

As per 7ish. It would be a crime to destroy its historical authenticity but if it can be taken off, stored and put back on if wanted at some future date, do it. If not I would leave it alone. In the world of classic cars originality is now king, even if, at the moment, the well-healed collectors hav...
