Re: Ruapuna dual pursuit sprints - Sunday 18 Feb

Chuckle... at least your new car can get to 200! :-) Maybe without the windscreen and if the front straight was 300 metres longer.... Cheers - N Yea, I recall around 190-ish, but staring at the speedo with the buffeting and a flat left hander at the end, well, it's hard to know for sure. And assumi...

I haven't got the cage Homologated yet and I have a front hub problem which I'm reluctant to test at 200kmh. I'm having a break after 5 years on the 23 and ply...

Re: Wanganui, Mcsorely 442E / MX5

Chassis was tacked together in my garage using a 170 amp single phase welder and co2 gas. Find the CO2 gives harsher weld and more splatter so took into work where I have a 250 amp three phase welder with argoshield gas. Still took 13 hours to weld over two days, then another 7 hours of cleaning up...

Good work and welcome to the forum. Tell me, are the roll bar rear stays at more or less than 30 degrees? It is a bit hard to tell from the photos.

Re: Lachlan Findlay's Mcgregor sr7

I had those type mirrors on a previous car, one glass fell out the day before compliance. So not well glued in. Novus cut a new glass while I waited.

Re: Catterham Super Sprint 1994

Reckon it would be pretty similar specs to standard. Googled found this: The std Ford settings are 22 (in) and 24 (ex) cold. Any Kent cam up to 244 (V. fast road / rally) states "22 and 24" too. Caterham didn't do anything special on the xflow that hadn't already been done, so, a Haines manual or go...

Re: Rear springs

Pretty sure on gaz website they recomended 180 on the rear and 220 front of a westfield , that is what I used . The locost is basicly a westfield copy.
