Protecta is who I use.
Agreed Value full cover, Glass cover & $5k Spares coverage. Limited miles but never go close to the limit & if advised can over run. Costs $200/year.

No claims as yet but been great to deal with up till now.

Classic Cover
$372.14 pa for $20,000 cover. $500 excess. I went for the 'modified classic' category which cost a bit more but seemed to fit.

Ha, just got a quote from AMI (who covers all our insurances): Full cover 20K value, $600 excess, no no-claims discount (even though I have a 60% discount normally) = $1572 / year
Youi = Lotus what? does not compute, sorry, but we'll have your other business thanks.

I am through AON - which then goes to NZI (Classic Cover)

Value at $40k, less than 7500km year (was just enough with the 3400km trip around the south island in summer) for about $450 per year.

They also covered the car during track day events (just had to email through the broker with details about the event and driver experience, no extra cost although excess goes through the roof). There was a few rules including nil telemetry to be download, car in road legal condition, no slick tyres and for Playday on Track you have be in the expensive group.

Cheers

Classic Cover here...

$228.25 annual premium, $16500 agreed value, Excess $250... Not sure if it covers track days but they have paid for a free windscreen repair and confirmed that even though it is bespoke, if the windscreen glass had to be remanufactured, it would be at no cost to me. Very happy with them and easy to deal with.

Cheers - N

Thanks Guys, very informative. My Wife went to a broker and did not get any better deals, in fact pretty much the same as AMI.
I am going with Protecta:
Insured value: $20,000.00
Annual premium: $260.00
Monthly payment: $21.67 no extra fees for monthly payments
Excess: $200.00
8000Km max
$5K spares
Air freight on spares
First rights on salvage
AA road service
Transit cover.

I might be worth more than $20K, will re look at that once painted and "finally" finished

I just went through this process and found protecta to be considerably better than the other offers like classic car and swan. They were also extremely friendly and efficient to deal with. $200 premium for me unlimited kms with glass cover etc. I just changed my daily over to AMI after aon hiked their prices up by 20% this year.
