Yes, it is a good buy. Add $2000 for certification.

yeah I saw that, I don't know much about rotary engines. The car is certified though which is a nice thing to have it seems. The fact that its a chevron is sweet too. What do you think?

Search the expired listings. There was a much nicer rotary chevron about five weeks ago that didn't sell. The reserve was $10,100. Maybe it has since sold but no harm in asking for a re-list.

Rotary Chevrons are great fun! With the red one, at least you can probably get $2k+ for the trailer.

thanks Gollum, I will follow up with that link. I figured I could sell the trailer for some cash too. if the rego is on hold, does it just have to be paid for or does it have to be inspected again? Also, can the car get away without a windscreen?

With reg on hold you take it for a WOF, if it passes you buy some reg and get on with having fun! It's just the normal process, norhing special. Make sure that it really is on hold though or things can get much more expensive! It'll probably be on an LVV exemption rather than a cert. I don't think that no windscreen is an issue, it never used to be. Our 13b powered Chevron never had one.

Rego sounds like it has been on hold for a long time as he has owned the car for 20 some on years and used it mainly as a track car (hence the no headlights).

Thanks jmsnz for pointing her out and to all the others who have given me feedback over the last few months.

Well, if 7 ownership was easy, everyone would have one!
I will look forward to everyone's help in the future as I slowly work away at her. One other question as I am getting quotes, does anyone have a recommended company to get it shipped from south island (Timaru) to Auckland. I have had a couple around $1400 which is fine but I thought I would put it out there if people have had good/bad experiences,

Cheers
Chris
