Post by KiwiBirkin » Sun Feb 17, 2013 11:09 pm

Hi guys below is a email from Trevor Stanly who organizes this event, its well worth heading out on this even and it can attract a lot of cars if the weather is good, cars range from Vintage to Ferrari's and its a very well organized event.

Cheers Stephen

North Canterbury Classic Tour

It is now only 5 weeks until the eleventh annual North Canterbury Classic Tour. The date is Sunday 24th March. We welcome sedans, coupes, convertibles, sports cars, utes, trucks, campers, vans, motorcycles, sidecars, scooters etc, in any condition as long as they are registered and warranted.

There are a few changes this year, as we strive to keep the event from becoming stagnant. We like to keep some of these changes under wraps until the day. However, we can guarantee that probably 90% of entrants will have never driven over a particular portion of the rally route, with its undulating road and magnificent view of the rolling countryside, all the way to the ocean.

The lunch venue is one we have never visited too and something very different. The route is shorter than most previous N.C.C.T’s but one we are sure you will enjoy. The finish point has a ‘surprise’ to view there, as well as free afternoon tea for all. More info and details be in an email a week before the event.

In the intervening weeks, get your vintage or classic vehicles registered and warranted and all set for the 24th March.

Event sponsored by Parkside Publishing (New Zealand Classic Car magazine) and Stewart’s Classics.
