Geez five years since we got the car on the road..... the people we have met, places we have been, things we have done would not have been possible without this little red thing.......we would be seriously lost without it now......

55000kms, heaps of laps around the track, quite a few skids and it's still going well......... May need to look at tickling up the engine soon though, its using a bit of oil these days, project for one day.....

Congrats on the big mile stone. The car still looks and goes great and I reckon it must be a record for the most number of km in 5 years! Keep it up!

What a great 5 years and its certainly is great to have that journey in such an incredible vehicle Matt and Jan, 55,000 kms, I bet you reach 100,000. :D

We have done 48000 kms in the Birkin now, it has certainly slowed down in OZ as its just a wee bit too hot in the summer months
Why walk when you can accelerate through life in a 7.....

Ha ha, just looked at the speedo we have clocked just passed 60,000 kms, thought it was lower than that.

Great day out with Jan in the Fraser, we headed out to Riversdale beach in the Wairarapa. What an awesome little place, nice beach, nice drive. Might see if we could hire a house out there for a weekend sometime. We did start to get a little hot though, might need to come up with some sort of vent system to cool the footwells.

After over four months of not even moving, we finally got the Fraser out for a cruise around Wellington. It still works, but the battery may need replacing..........

Hi all, I haven't posted anything on here for sometime. We shifted to the UK for the year 2017, so during that the year the Fraser was put into storage. It was interesting getting the car on the road upon our return, as two pistons on the front brakes had seized, so they needed dismantling, cleaned and new seals fitted. We had a small crack in the fuel tank when we put it into storage, upon return the crack was huge, which of course required the fuel tank to be removed and welded up. But once those jobs were complete, we all all go for some happy times in our Fraser.

Since then we have been out and about in the car alot. This year we have done a week long tour with the Cobra Car Club around the top of the South Island, annual track day at Taupo, and then a month ago we drove 1600kms in a weekend up to the Coromandel and back.

Car has been going well, but we are having to put more and more oil into our 4AGE Blacktop motor on every run we do. When we brought that engine for the Fraser, it had done 130000kms, and now it will be touching on 200000kms, so it is time to do something about that.

We have since brought another Engine of Trademe for $700, and intend to strip this one down and replace parts as we go. This way we can keep enjoying the car with teh current motor, and take our time with teh rebuild.

There are alot of 4AGE "upgrades" out there on the market, but after talking to some people in the know, we have a plan.

Watch this space.........

In the meantime hope to see you all out enjoying your sevens as they are intended to be used............
