Hi Matt,

Any chance of getting a picture of your handbrake handle? Just watched your Motorkhana vid's and noticed where it was.
I have just been scribbling similar ideas as will be using my Leitch for the same thing and obviously handbrake access is an issue.

Thanks

The extension was made for me by Fraser cars, works well just as long as the driver has some co-ordination which I lack from time to time...

Here are two quick vids of two of the tracks at the Manawatu Car Club Back Track event, nearly nailed the decreasing circles with only the last one not so good

And then overcooked the first turn in the Figure of 8, but surely extra points for style....

Hey Matt - nice stuff... Yours certainly pivots better than mine does at the moment!

Were you in second gear there or is your gearbox/final drive setup differently than most... I would have been bouncing off the limiter halfway down those straights (Also 20v Blacktop 4AGE)

Cheers - N

1st gear all of the time, we have a TRD T50 gearbox with 1st gear ratio of 2.34 as opposed to the standard 3.58....diff is 4.11:1.... The gearbox certainly makes a difference in those longer straights, but the downside is the blacktop lacks any form of torque, so its very easy to get bogged down if the wheels stop spinning.

Try unplugging the vvt plug and see how it goes then. You might just be surprised!

Awesome, Thanks Matt. Funnily enough Mines bloody near identical. Although the Fraser handbrake location appears to be further rearward.
Seems to be quite effective on the vid's - well done! Can't wait for our season to start!

Cheers

Caught up with Aaron and Katrina in the weekend, and they took us on a tiki tour around some Manawatu roads, and got Jan and I completely bamboozled....
