Use Redline MT90 in my J160 box seems to be really good so far. (Recommend by a large portion of the users on the altezza forums!)

For a jap 5 speed use a 75w90oil always.you will be ok with either the cast roll or bloodline as both are made in aus so both still have zinc nd other good anti wear additive package as aus has not signed up to the euro clean green accord for disposal that outlaws most of the stuff that stops wear.if you want to put in something extra then a often additive will take out a lot of noise .something like nulon 70 gearbox add or slick 50 I have seen both work marvels.
As a rule a 4speed use a gl4 80w90 and a 5speed use a gl575w90most these days claim to be semi synthetic generally the full syncs are used in race boxes for a real hiding.
Yes ken smith swears by the valvoline
